Ellie expressed an interest in hats from an
early age, donning her Granny’s floral tea cosy whenever it was left within arms’
reach. After five years in a ‘proper job’ in the city, in 2012 she decided
enough was enough and moved back from London to the green pastures of the
Midlands, setting up EleanorLucy Millinery and pursuing
happiness via hats.
Working from her home-based studio in Kenilworth, Ellie is currently
creating her first couture collection, as well as offering a bespoke
commission service. Tutored by the legendary Rose Cory, Royal milliner to the
late Queen Mother, Ellie combines traditional techniques and the highest
quality materials with playful experimentation to create beautiful hand sewn
headwear with hattitude. From elegant tipped brims which perfectly complement mother-of-the-bride
outfits, to whimsical silk origami flora and fauna, and perching showstoppers
designed to turn heads at the races, EleanorLucy Millinery designs will make
you feel glamorous, individual and comfortable, whatever the occasion.
